About
The 2016 Caldecott Medal-winning work also won many awards, including No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list and Influential Book of the Year. "Finding Winnie" tells a true story, in which the human protagonist is the author's great-grandfather, Harry Colburn. On his way to Europe to participate in World War I, Harry bought a little bear that had lost its parents from a hunter for $20 and named the little bear "Winnie." He and Pooh were inseparable and developed a deep affection for each other. But war broke out, and he eventually had to send Pooh to the care of the London Zoo. At the time of separation, he told Pooh: Although they are about to separate, the most important thing is that he will always love it, and it will always be his Pooh.
Later, a little boy named Christopher Robin often came to the zoo to see Pooh and even named his teddy bear "Pooh." Pooh has a new friend. Christopher Robin's father was a writer, and he created a series of fairy tales based on them, which became known as "Winnie the Pooh"...
