About the Author

Baek Heena, born in 1971, graduated from the Department of Educational Engineering at Ewha Womans University in South Korea, and then studied animation at California Institute of the Arts. With "Cloud Bread", he was named "Writer of the Year in Fiction" at the 2005 Bologna International Children's Book Fair, and has since become known to more people. Her work "The Fairy in the Bathhouse" won the "53rd Korea Publishing Culture Award" and the "3rd Changyuan Children's Literature Award". The Japanese version of "Sugar Ball" won the "Eleventh MOE Picture Book Award", and also won the "Japan Picture Book Award" Reader Award and Translation Award.
