About
Caldecott Medal picture book, author David Shannon's world-famous naughty boy's humorous and heart-warming commemoration of his growth. David's mother always said: "David, no!" David stuck out his tongue, stood on the chair and reached for the sugar bowl tremblingly; David came home covered in mud, leaving a stain on the carpet in the living room. A string of black footprints; David had a quarrel in the bathtub, and the water formed a river... There are words from his mother on every page, "David, no!"
But the highlight of the book is later: David plays baseball in the house and breaks the vase. This was a big disaster. David was made to sit on a small round stool in the corner and shed tears. So, his mother said to him: "Baby, come here." His mother gave him a warm hug and said to him: "David, be good, I love you." No matter how naughty the child is, when he is sad, his mother's arms will always be his harbor of warmth.
Since the publication of David Shannon's semi-autobiographical picture book "No, David!" in 1998, David has become a well-known naughty boy popular with children all over the world. He was constantly getting into little trouble, as is normal for most kids this age, and of course he was being punished a lot. What is gratifying is that whether it was his mother, teacher, Santa Claus, or brother, they all left David with warm childhood memories. Let the naughty bag grow up healthily, don’t miss it, lovely David!
