About
When you become a father or mother for the first time, how do you introduce your child to the world we live in? How would you use minimalist answers and descriptions to establish children's initial understanding of the world and themselves? Is it possible to outline the complex and ever-changing world in just a few pictures or sentences? These seemingly difficult questions were answered by the artist's father, the famous British children's book writer Oliver Jeffs. He explores the world from the perspective of a new life visiting the earth for the first time, from confirming the earth's position in the universe, to understanding the sun, moon, stars, mountains, oceans, various animals and plants, and then entering human society. This is an outstanding picture book drawn with childlike innocence and love, carrying warm fatherly love, conveying a broad mind, vision and structure, and a perfect combination of scientific cognition and humanistic care.
