About the Author

Taro Gomi was born in Tokyo in 1945. He graduated from the Industrial Design Department of Kuwasawa Institute. He started writing picture books at the age of 27 and has published more than 400 creative and unique picture books so far. He is one of the best-selling Japanese picture book writers, and many of his works have been reprinted hundreds of times in Japan alone. At the same time, he is also a Japanese picture book writer with a high reputation overseas. He has won many international picture book awards such as the Illustration Award of the Bologna International Children's Book Fair in Italy and the Japan Sankei Children's Publishing Culture Award. He is a world-renowned picture book master. His main works include "The Spring of the Calf", "Who is Hiding There?", "Who Ate It?", "The Spring of the Calf", "The Yellow One...
