About
The legendary story of Sudan, the world’s last male northern white rhinoceros. Every rhinoceros is the king of its own territory, and its horn is their crown. The creative team went to Kenya for on-site shooting and interviews. The book contains precious images of Sudan, which can be viewed by scanning the QR code on the copyright page.
This book reviews Sudan's life using his real experience and fairy tale style. There are three times of horn breaking in the story: the first time was when Sudan witnessed his mother's horn being cut off by poachers when he was a child; the second time was when Sudan's horn was broken off in the Czech Republic. At the zoo, I accidentally broke a rhinoceros horn on a wooden fence. The horn grew back, but because there was no need to dig grass roots or fight, the horn slowly aged into a circle. The third time was when Sudan returned to Africa, and the people in the nature reserve In order to prevent poachers from killing Sudan, Sudan's rhino horns were cut off first. Rhino horns have a strong symbolic meaning: every rhino is the king of his own territory, and the horn is their crown. Sudan's sadness is that the rhinoceros horn, which symbolizes his identity and pride, cannot coexist completely with his body.
